For those who have some background in economics, the course provides real-life applications on what is taught in classrooms around the world.

Academic Writing Section 1

The purpose of this course is to develop students’ writing ability at the college level. This course will focus on research writing and the research writing process, as well as APA style and avoiding plagiarism. In addition, this course emphasizes the development of analytical/critical reading skills as well as the development of researched and documented argumentative essays.

Academic Writing Section 2

ESL Level 5
Fall 2025

This class will allow students to develop upper-intermediate level English vocabulary and grammatical structures so that they can successfully communicate. Also, students will develop literary and analytical skills which will enable them to be successful in future courses. The class will focus on four key areas for development; Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

Media Literacy
Fall 2025

The Media Literacy course develops skills that allow us to become more productive media consumers and creators. We will explore how the structure of the media industry influences media content, as well as the strategies media companies and creators use to capture their audiences. Finally, we will develop strategies to improve our media use to better serve our professional and personal needs.
